Using corrosion inhibiting nanotechnology, VCI emitters are designed to emit vapor into enclosed spaces.

Defining VCI Emitters.

VCI Emitters are compact, self-sticking devices containing VCIs used to inside of a package to protect electrical components, electrical equipment, and/or fixtures within a closed space. VCI chemicals will prevent corrosion on metals including steel, copper, zinc, and multi-metals in general.

Using corrosion inhibiting nanotechnology, VCI emitters are designed to emit vapor into enclosed spaces. The design of the VCI emitter allows the VCI vapors to be released at a controlled rate over a long period of time, forming an invisible layer of coating which protects metal from moisture, salt, dirt, oxygen, and other materials from depositing on the metal causing corrosion.

Best part? There are no messy powders, pellets or bulky cups with lids to deal with. VCI Emitters are thin, durable and highly effective.

What is Nanotechnology?

Nanoscience and nanotechnologyis "science, engineering, and technology conducted at the nanoscale, which is about 1 to 100 nanometers" (in other words, extremely tiny things). Think of it this way. There are 25,400,000 nanometers in an inch.

VCI Emitters: The Benefits

  • Easy to use - no preparation needed
  • Simple installation - self-stick adhesive back
  • Continuous Protection - up to 24 months depending upon environment
  • Multi-Metal Protection
  • Safe - non-toxic, odorless, and environmentally friendly
  • Compatible with mechanical & electrical components
  • Immediate and effective VCI packaging protection.

When do VCI emitters work the best?

Higher temperatures cause VCI chemicals to activate faster. Also, the closer the emitter is positioned to the product to be protected, the faster the vapors will reach the product.
