A 16" x 14" x 30" x .002 gusseted bag is simply a pleat made into a bag; they have sides that balloon out to hold the product in a box shape. When you place your product into a gusseted bag, you are squaring the bottom and eliminating what are commonly referred to as dog ears -the corners of the plastic bag that would otherwise stick out.
